Why don't you tell us what you do and maybe one of us can tell you what you are doing wrong.

Okay, heres what I do, for the horn sounds I change them by editing the PROXYML horn file and change the loop to whatever it is and change .dav to .wav, and the same with the bell and the engine sounds, I'm not very good at that and just follow what the read me says so that is what do for those things and I just don't get it, I've did it with other engines and they are perfect? !*don-know!* Hmmmm?

On the topic of Loco engine sounds, why is it so hard to change the P42 sounds? I made a P42 engine sound but when I test it in game it sounds completely different?

Thanks Buzz, I know how to change horns, not trying to be mean, and my reader won't open anything anymore some reason, its just the defaults, I can change any other horn but sometimes a problem persists, I save it in ANSI and an I click yes to over wright it and it says, "A file with that name already exsistes please try a different file name" so I don't know how to fix that. Sorry for spelling.

I have no idea what you are trying to do but either get RWTools which will allow you to open these files directly edit them and automatically make a back up or open them with serz and then save them back by running them over the serz and it will be saved.

I'm testing them now, just dragged them over serz and it hopefully saved it so it sounds the custom stuff.

Are you spelling the the new Proxy coding correctly? say you have Horn_Loop.wav in the folder. Make sure when editing the proxy file that "[Insert Sound File name here].dav" is changed to [Insert Sound File Name Here].wav"

I'm pretty sure I did that, I'm reinstalling steam because I have been having problems with it so what about repaints and rwp files that I installed, will they still work?
