Freight car plans?

Unread postby 5292nate » Sun Jun 09, 2013 7:02 pm

So I want to try my hand at making a few freight cars. Specifically articulated well cars. Where can I find detailed drawing or blueprints with measurements, and weights and all that? Are there such things? I would enjoy getting these as spot on as possible. That's why I would need the blueprints.

Any help would be appreciated! !!*ok*!!

How about a Tank Train? As for blueprints, I'd check Trinity Railcar

A good resource for scale freight car drawings are Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman magazines. Both are indexed and you can purchase back issues at reasonable prices.

We could use some hot and cold slab cars for Ohio Steel

I hate being a wet-blanket, but I'm not taking requests. I need help finding detailed measurements of (for now) Thrall 53' Articulated Well Car. Further help is still appreciated as I have not yet found what I was looking for. I may MAY take requests sometime down the road, but certainly not now.

Thank you.
