WIP: Modern Freight Cars, Vol 2

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Mon Apr 02, 2012 1:45 pm

Hi,

The Modern Freight Cars pack, vol. 2, is beginning to take shape. I know, it's taking me quite a while to build these cars, but here at least is a preview of one of the cars that will be in the pack: a 50' airslide hopper. More to come soon!

Cheers,
Michael

Hehe, yeah, this pack won't become vaporware like so many of my other models. *!embar*!

about 60 more minutes of work in 3DC, only the roof details and some bits and pieces are still missing:

Looking real good so for Michael. Another fine addition to your always growing fleet.

Can't wait to try these out. You make some of the best freeware train cars for the sim.

Looks great.

Later would you consider writing a pdf tutorial on how to build a train car in 3DS, since I would like to learn to build a train car as well before I try to learn how to build a locomotive.

As usual, your work is top quality! However, I want to echo one of the previous posts. When you make the ribs a separate shape, it is very difficult to paint anything that crosses ribs, such as one of your newer boxcars. Do you have suggestions for working with these models?
