KCS Hazmat Training Tank Car

This model is a Kansas City Southern Hazmat Training Link reskin of the default Kuju Tank Car. The transport of hazmat is highly regulated by various government agencies. Like the rest of North America’s railroads, KCSR and KCSM continually seek ways to improve upon our strong hazmat safety record and adopt additional protocols that meet or exceed those required by the government.

Run the RW_AssetSetup file to install the model In the scenario editor the model is listed as: “Tank 16,000gal KCS Hazmat”. This model is installed into: Assets\Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Freight\TankCar\KCS Hazmat\.

I saw this car on http://www.railcarphotos.com/ and thought it might be fun to model. Hope you enjoy. This package is released as freeware. You can do whatever you wish with it EXCEPT make money with its use.

Very nice repaint with the vivid colors of KCS.
However, pardon my ignorance, but what does the word "training" means in these HazMat tanks?

These cars are used to train emergency personnel to handle emergency situations involving hazardous materials. I wasn't able to find any specific info on this car and its use, but it is a model of a real car.

Each of the Class 1's have their own Hazmat Training Train. Then there is the DOW Safety Train that they all share. I've seen it a few times now. It comes into a town and first responders train how to attack a fire on tank cars depending on the type of car and commodity involved. In Sacramento they bring the train onto the Museum's tracks.
