Amtrak F40PH with "ditch lights" for RW ???

Unread postby CanadianNorthern » Mon Jun 24, 2013 8:45 pm

Does someone saw an Amtrak F40PH equiped with ditch lights ? *!question!*

All versions of F40 I saw for RW do not have ditch light ... *!rolleyes!*

Unfortunately no, the F40PH's are based in the 1990's for the Donner Pass route. They didn't have ditchlights at the time.

He said you could only add on to the base model, not dig into it

There is also the problem of adding code to control the lights to the LUA. Unless you can decompile the LUA, and code, and recompile it so it works.... well then you have a chance of adding the ditch lights to the surface of the model. You will never be able to cut the holes into the base mode to properly recess them.

You can grab the ditch lights (and LUA code) I made for the UPY588 up in the file library.

although making a VIA F40PH would work with ditch lights because they are just above the plow.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. I could not complete the library search until you shared the key word I was missing. I just showed my appreciation by thanking you for sharing it. No big deal. !!*ok*!!
