SP Cabforward editing help

Unread postby ArcticCatZRT » Thu Apr 04, 2013 2:02 pm

Alright, the Cabforward is an excellent piece of DLC, but there is one issue with it that drives me crazy that I want to try and fix.

The issue is with the engineer side number board. When the headlights are switched on, the number boards are "backlite" but the white panel that does this is mis aligned and actually sticks our infront of the numbers. I am trying to figure out either how to fix it, I've been searching around the different bins in the default folder trying to find these white panels. I still haven't found anything and wonder if anyone can give suggestion were to look and what to look for. Hopefully if I, or anyone else for that matter, can find a fix it can be published for others to use.

So basically I am looking for:

Some suggestions of locations/files to look in
What to look for in the bins/other files
Finally, how to fix the error once it is found

I am assuming that these panels are child objects.

Thanks!
Best Regards, Cat

Double Post:

Alright, well through some experimenting I found that the texture used to "back light" the number boards is a texture called GX_Backlit.

My only idea was to make this texture invisible, is there a way I can edit the panel's position at all?

I can't figure out a way to make this texture invisible and I can't find a reference to the texture in any of the .bins. I am figuring the texture and panel are parts of the model file for the light and the only way to change them would be to have access to the original files.

Well, if no one else has any suggestions, I am out of ideas.
