Hi,

Hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. I thought I would make a start on my Western Maryland repaints. I cloned the Challenger as per Mike Simpsons reskinning guide - no problems. Downloaded and installed the 64 bit NVidia plug in for Photoshop - no problems. Converted the texture file to a .dds and tried to open it in Photoshop, only to get the error that it was the "wrong type of file". Ok, I thought, maybe it has something to do with the new graphic image file size that RW has started using, so I tried a Michael Stephen box car, only to get the same error.

I am sure for those more experienced, it is something simple, but it has me beat.

Any assistance gratefully received...

Even if I zoom in on that image its tiny.

Wait a day or two. I am finishing up on something which should help you.

Try doing the 32bit.

Am running Win 7 64 with Photoshop Elements 10 so used 64bit NVidia plug in, yet I can open it in Irfan View and in RWTools image viewer...

Move the file to your desktop and see if it will open there. Many if not all the folders in Program Files are read only (its a security thing).

BTW I have just uploaded a fix to RSBinTool which will allow you to properly interact with DXT5 textures. Give it a day or two to show up
