Thanks very much for letting me join the forum. Been building for a couple of years, want to thank all for the free assets and very good information. I was wanting to know if any one had boxcars with the doors open. when I was a small kid I always seen boxcar doors open and metal bands hanging from then. I would love have some in my route.

That's not a a bad idea. I've never thought of that. We've had all closed boxcars, but non of which that have open doors.

The Boxcars that come with EYEIN12's Seattle Route have doors that open and close. They are the only ones that I can think of that do that.

Which boxcar is it?

I'm not 100% sure if this is what your looking for, but on TrainSim.com I think there is a boxcar or mod that has animated doors. You will have to check because I might be wrong. I hope this helped.

These box cars with operating doors are available at TrainSim. At the time I made them advanced scripting information was not widely known or used, and I had to include modifications to the engine file and input mappers inorder to make the animations work to open and close the box car doors. I am not yet able to create lua scripts (due to lack of time to study how they are made) but would love to have someone who is experienced with the lua scripting to write a script that would activate the door animations for these boxcars either by double clicking the doors or someother user friendly action. If someone is interested in doing this, pm me and I will make the source files for the cars available for your use.
