New computer, what to do to have everything you had.

I'll change computers. I would like to ask if I can make a complete copy of the railworks folder, and then on the new computer, reset this folder again. Will it prevent me from reinstalling all add-ons? If not, what should I do to avoid all this work of installing everything I have again?

What I did when I got a new computer is did what you suggest. Make a copy of your whole RailWorks folder and install it on your new computer. Then sign on to Steam. It should locate your Railworks folder and all will be as before other than going through all the things Steam will ask to make sure that you are you.

That works for the whole Steam folder too. Take a look at their Help files on the subject. That way you won't have to download all those games again.

If I understand, I first install Steam, then I copy the entire railworks folder previously copied to another location on the computer, to the right place, and then I go to Steam to do the upgrade, right? Sorry for my doubt but my English is not very strong ... I use Google Translate ...
Thanks for the support.

If you do that, you will lose any mods you have applied in the backup.....

Put the RailWorks into your new computer FIRST then install Steam.

In what folder do I put railworks ... if Steam is not yet installed? I create the Steam \ Steamapps \ Common \ Railworks folder and copy all the contents that I backed up here?...And only then install the steam?

Yes, only the game folder "common" copy it to its new location (<drive>\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common), then install Steam.

You can also make a backup DVD via Steam of TS. Not sure whether it backups third party addons though.
