I have a new theory about saving from route. After hitting the F2 key zoom in on some turf so there is no other detail and then save the route. I did this about a dozen times today and not a single crash on save. Interesting do far.

I have noticed this too. The less of the graphics that are "in-frame" when you save, the better it goes.
