Request from my 4yr old son...

Unread postby PapaXpress » Mon Mar 28, 2011 11:33 pm

He would like to know if there are garbage and fire trucks he can place in the editor. :D

I can't find them anywhere. *!sad!*

I don't think with the default assets, but there could be some 3rd-party made ones out there.

Still, there are various cars and trucks in the editor using default assets. Probably find them in the People & Vehicles list. Also check the Misc and Clutter lists for perhaps some various extra objects he might like.

BTW, here's a list of "default" Devloper folders you can enable via the Set Object Filter to perhaps have more choices to play with;

Defaults:
Kuju: RailSimulator and RailSimulatorUS
Castle Rock: Scenery
RSDL: Foliage1

Along with the German folders now I believe. You can also check some of the other Developer folder using the Object Filter and it may give you more choices of objects and trains to play with in the editor.

Trust me he will not mind that they are from the 50's, just as long as they resemble fire trucks he will be tickled.

If it were only that simple...

No, he (and his brother of 2) is into planes, trains, and monster trucks, legos, spaceships, and aliens. His first love was trains, and I kinda hope he sticks with it. It gives me a partner to play with :D

I added PT to my route, but I did not see the fire truck. Where is it hiding?

It is unnerving me that there is no search box (or even a filter since I only use SP track and have no need for UK track) in the assets/objects fly out.

I tell you when this kid gets focused on something he is sharp as a tack, It would help if he could read, but I am working on that (OK, sounds out the work TRUCK). There are a lot of positive affects to this hobby. Yes a 4yr old (almost 5 really) having a hobby. He is learning history, geography, computer science, commerce, and physics (train crashes).

... and back to the topic. Now I need to find garbage trucks. !*hp*!
