i was wondering is ok to ask if i can fix dtg content my self question?

ah ok i would like to figer out how to fix cab light and headlight button in simple control on sd9043mac.

The headlights are controlled by the H key on the keyboard. They have 3 positions just push the key 3 times to go to each one. To reverse the cycle just press shift and H. Also the lights can be controlled via the light switch in the cab. What the OP is trying to say is that the F4 hud light button doesn't activate the lights which are quite normal on some advanced locos.

not in simple control the H key doesn't work neither dose L key for cab light work. i like to fix this. i think i need to go in to the blueprint editor one thing is how do i import dtg sd9043mac in to the blue print editor.


edit: ah ok i open add-on ap file and seem there no simple control.bin in input mapping folder

Why are you using simple controls? That alone doesn't make much sense.

so since sd9043mac doesn't have simple.bin file maybe i should make one. question do i need the 3D modeling program that they use to make part of simple control.bin, or is it all in the ts2020 blueprint editor?

Neither.
Anyway the blueprint editor is for editing blueprints you created yourself.
All you need is RW-Tools for editing existing blueprints (.bin files).

But before doing this I would try a simple fix: copy a control.bin from an existing engine to the proper folder under the sd9043mac folder.
You will find the proper folder inside the .ap file in the sd9043mac folder.
Do not modify the .ap file in the sd9043mac folder.
Do open the .ap file, look at its structure, and extract what you need from it.

Have you tried running TS without using simple control? Only about 1% of people use it. So I don't think DTG is going to fix anything that won't work with simple controls.

i have try it running sd9043mac in expert control and when you press h the headlights turn on same with cab light when you press L key. but won't work in simple control since there no file to it. but here the thing the wiper works both in simple and expert control. so i wondering if DTG plan is to make one control input .bin file that support expert and simple control inputs. i mean it seem very simple.

Ok, so why do you like simple control over expert control? give us a proper answer not just answering because I do give us a reason for your comment so that we can help you further.

well i don't think about the other control like the reverse or breaks. once i get in to the game i just press A&D and have fun. an i been playing it for so long in simple control mod. mind you in expert you have few other buttons to use in order to start train. set reverser and release the break. but i guess expert mod has more control over speed like it not go to rocket you like that. where as in some locomotives in simple mod you press A once and engine doing 30 mph like that and breaking well it stop on dim kinda.

anyway like i said i when i get in to the game i just go and stop and not think about other controls
