Daylight FP7?

Unread postby WcCrupper » Sun May 28, 2017 4:46 am

Wondering if someone would be willing to paint up the DTG's California Zephyr EMD FP7 in Southern Pacific's "Daylight" scheme? I know there was talk about a F7 repaint about a year ago that I don't think got past discussion.

Thanks!

EDIT: Upon further examination, I do realize that this is a E series unit in the picture below, although the paint scheme is the same. Sorry about that!

There are several models of the paint scheme featured on F-units from various scales and manufacturers so if anyone is into that you may be able to have a more convincing argument with that. I like the idea myself; I'm just not a very good reskinner lol.

Alas DTG has never seen fit to do any E-Units from the great transition from steam to diesel so we are forced to improvise one of the greatest liveries from the golden days of passenger rail. Coming soon is the DTG FP7 in the Daylight paint scheme.

I don't understand why with all of the F7 models they have how hard could it be for them to extend the engine room section and model another bogie?

Doesn't Rich on Britkits have an E7 available? I'm not sure on the looks of it. I only have his GP7/9 pack.
