Rock Island caboose

Unread postby katyusha454 » Fri May 26, 2017 5:38 pm

I could have sworn at one point there was a Rock Island repaint of the Kuju caboose somewhere, but I went looking for it yesterday and I couldn't find one anywhere. If anyone has it, could you point me to it? And if one doesn't exist, it'd be awesome if someone could make one.

There appear to be both black-roofed and silver-roofed versions, but unfortunately I couldn't find a picture with a clear view of the silver roof.

I'm gonna bump this now that the U-boats are out. We could really use a matching caboose to use with them.

I'll give it a shot. I made an alpha layer from the default Kuju caboose or is there a better model to use?

I like the Stevens's Pass International cab,as it has all of those Santa Fe side grab irons removed. (Except one at the top) But the model is missing the lower side sill mesh on one side. Or the normals are reversed. The map is the same as the standard Kujo cab. I was going to post a screen shot of my DT&I repaint, but I see my file has been overwritten,so there must have been an update to that pack.

The nice thing about the default one is everyone has it.

Good work. I've been off the planet for a while. Will look at some other RI rollingstock.

This model is a Rock Island railroad reskin of the payware Keystone Legends® Bay Window Caboose from BLLW by Harry R. Adkins. The base model can be purchased at http://www.bllw.net/KL-BayWindowCabooseKit.html. It's also available here on Railworks America as the Donationware Caboose Pack.

This model is a Rock Island railroad reskin of the payware Keystone Legends® Bay Window Caboose from BLLW by Harry R. Adkins. The base model can be purchased at http://www.bllw.net/KL-BayWindowCabooseKit.html.

Thomas’ original model must be installed before this locomotive will operate properly. Unzip and install using the included RW_AssetSetup.exe installer. The unit will be installed to Assets\BLLW\Keystone Legends\RailVehicles\Freight\Caboose01\ROCK. In the scenario editor it will be listed as “Cabin ROCK-Bay Window.”

Next, copy the “caboose_4a.GEOPCX” file from Assets\BLLW\Keystone Legends\ RailVehicles\Freight\Caboose01\Default\Wagon and paste it into Assets\BLLW\Keystone Legends\RailVehicles\Freight\Caboose01\ROCK\Wagon. The reskin will not work without this payware file.

If you have problems, post a message in the support forum at the Railworks America forum. This package is released as freeware. You can do whatever you wish with it EXCEPT make money with its use.

Nice job Harry! !!*ok*!!

I moved the Rock Island text but somehow screwed up the numbering when I tried to get rid of the numbers on the cupola. I've been through the caboose and caboose_Digits bin several times and can't see what's wrong. Will keep looking. !*don-know!*
