Except you don't receive checkmarks when you complete a scenario.

I haven't made my mind up on what I think of this route. It has streetrunning and is NS/CSX territory (which we need more of), but its mostly single track at a snail's pace.

Funny, that makes it sound like DTG designed the route. Reality Is Unrealistic, I guess. Especially the sounds.

Nice little route. Abit on the slow side for someone more used to British High Speed trains.

Am I cranky today or what? !*don-know!*

Tom - if you're talking about Async Keys mode, isn't that <ctrl>+<shift>+1 to +5? Just sayin'...

Thanks for mentioning that -- you just may be right. I haven't used ASync for a while and wouldn't be surprised if I'm mistaken. Thanks.

I'm also curious about this. Also is there any switching to be done, or is it mostly the run to the mine and back?

I believe there is a little switching on the route, considering that Gary recently released a switching scenario for the route on Workshop.

Yeah, there is definitely some possibility for switching. The GP38-2 and SD40-2 locos come with some switching scenarios and Elphaba's already has a switching scenario out for the GP38. As far as speed limits it ranged between 30 and 10mph. The 10mph sections are pretty short though, basically just through the street running portion (which is awesome IMO)

The scenic detailing is second to none.. I would say this is the best looking route yet released. All of the custom-designed buildings/assets look really really good, and the vegetation is thick and detailed.

Idk, it seemed a little bland for me. I don't know if I would agree with "best looking route yet released", it cant really hold up to the quality of Stevens Pass.

It is the best looking route DTG has produced but I don't think they'll produce anything like Stevens pass detail wise.

Switching opportunities on the real line basically involved Norfolk Southern Local C26, which works out of West Brownsville and on alternate days either runs west out of Waynesburg and works the transload center at Pete (mostly covered hoppers) or works south down the Loveridge Secondary. You can replicate these activities on the TS route and the area around Alicia certainly has multiple opportunities for switching and local work, whether at the Alicia railroad-to-barge transloading facility (coal plus some covered hopper aggregate loads), the Brownsville Marine Products plant (which receives steel plates for constructing barges) or a holding yard further south. Some more info on operations on the line can be found at: http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... l-district.

Ah, I just came across that article as it turns out (great article, I may add)! So it doesn't seem like the route sees enough local service to interest me, thanks for answering my question guys *!!thnx!!*
