So let me ask a question. What's so hard about running one to the end and then starting the next one? I don't get it.

From the realism side, having the two routes separate is technically accurate as Amtrak crews change at Penn Station, they don't even take the train into Sunnyside, that's the job of the yard crew. And of course, no commuter rail routes run through Penn Station right now, they both terminate and either yard at Sunnywide, or yard at the West Side Yard, or turn around in the station. It looks like they simulating some of the western Penn Station tracks in the new route so it should be good enough to simulate short yard runs.

While I admit I know only a little about the specifics of Railworks, I can safely say I know enough to say that it would require basically re-creating the NYP-PHL section in the NYP-NHV route. They can't just select everything in the original NEC, then click copy, then click paste in the new route.

I read somewhere recently - it may have had something to do with merging a couple of British routes, but I'm not sure - that the chief problem with merging routes involves differing points of origin. FWIW, the new "North End" is so much better than the original "South End" that I would sooner see them rebuild the South End from the ground up, whether they merged them or not. There is a lot of potential in the original NEC that wasn't realized primarily because it was already pushing what they thought the platform could do at the time; and that assessment wasn't too far wrong unless you had a really high-end rig. Since then, the platform itself has become decidedly more capable, which on the one hand requires more careful research and construction, but on the other hand results in a far more realistic product, as recent screenshots clearly demonstrate.

Technically, that's accurate - at least for now - since no commuter routes currently run from New Haven territory to Penn Station, and both the LIRR and NJT are primarily interested in traffic terminating at Penn Station. There have been several extra movements from New Haven to New Jersey for football games, run as joint NJT/CDOT special services, which harken back to an old tradition of Football Extras formerly serving the Yale Bowl games, as well as games in Philadelphia. In addition to this, there have been ongoing studies of the reintroduction of local service from New Haven territory to Penn Station, which hasn't been seen since the Westchester went out in the '30s. Having reviewed the study myself, I'm given to wonder whether joint operation with selected NJT trains might not be a good strategy, in that it would avoid adding another layer of terminating movements (and their consequent congestion) at Penn Station, possibly reducing some of the current congestion in the process.

So, now the speculation will begin: which engine will the route come with, and which ones will be DLC? That will cost extra, and that some of y'all will grumble about? !*lho*! !*salute*!

This new NEC route is probable going to be by far one of the best route they ever make since TS2012! I mean their already in work-progress adding Metro-north are you ducking kidding me man?! I'm so looking forward to this!

This is going to make me so happy!

The Frame rate in this game would be...... stable for me. !*roll-laugh*!

Well it should really since I have Core i7 2600K @ 4.6ghz, 16GB DDR3 ram and GTX 670 video card I play everything max out getting 60+ fps nothing below 20fps.

So you are one out of every 5,000 people who are into gaming much less running TS2014 with that rig. It's good to know that one person will be able to run the yard pictured above. !*roll-laugh*!

I'm just saying! Yes... I do play other PC games though. However I do love train simulator but it would be nice to see intense graphic like this NEC route that a big improvements overall other routes, more rolling stocks and AI traffic! !*cheers*!

But wait until you see Trainz New Era that is just going to destroy my rig for sure.
