It's not an M7 or M8

*Edit* Ah, it's not a DMU, it's a standard coach. Looking too deep into this stuff *!embar*!

Doesn't matter to me.. It's not another Amtrak train. It's actually a bombardier shoreliner cab car, They use those on the Metro-North, and even the NJT lines.. I believe. I'm excited that they're working on an American Commuter train.. There's more to America than Amtrak and Freight trains.

The design originated with Pullman Standard in the late-'60s, first being built as NJDOT's Comet (later Comet I) cars. Bombardier picked up the design when they bought out Pullman Technologies upon that firm's demise as a car builder. A variant of this design was also supplied to Amtrak as their Horizon cars. CDOT cars typically don't have the center door. One of only two center-door cab cars on CDOT's roster was involved in the recent wreck at Spuyten Duyvil.

Frankly, going the coach route was the easiest in order to move quickly. All they have to do is repaint a P42 to look like MNRR's P32s and it's "good enough" though I'm still hopeful to see at least the M8s.

The midtown skyline is looking awesome so far, but I just hope they model at least a few more identifiable buildings instead of just stock ones. Maybe if they added the Chrysler, MetLife, Citicorp, and Trump World Hotel buildings? I also hope they recognize the sheer skyscraper density of that region of the city, right now it looks pretty sparse.

But other than that it's looking spectacular! !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

I'd rather it be sparser than not. Too many items being rendered is going to really slow down frame rate for mid end computers like mine.

Realistically, you wouldn't really be able to see many or any of those buildings up close, as you'll be well underground anyways by the time you reach the stations.

At first I wasn't a fan of this route, but after looking at the pictures on the last few pages I quickly changed my mind. This route looks like it's going to be amazing and will defiantly be a must have.
