I'd like to hear from someone who has purchased this route about yard facilities -- if any. The included scenarios (according to the manual) are all long runs, but what about switching operations?

In the first hour and a half I have made it from Oroville to Tobin (in freeroam), and still have a long way to go. But..this may be the best DTG route they have produced. The trees and weeds are excellent and the rock formation are fantastic ( even look in some area as if they were blasted out for the right of way. And the rapids look real.
My only issue is with the U30B. The in cab sounds are not present, no track noise, way too quiet for a U boat. Also the bell is weak.
One thing I hope that DTG will do is add headlights to the DLC packs for the GP9 and SW1500 since they are mentioned in their ads.

There is:

-At Oroville, the full yard complex, engine terminal, and roundhouse, as well as multiple lineside industries in the town
- At Keddie, The full yard as was the basis for locals operating on the Inside Gateway plus some lineside sidings
- At Quincy Junction, the interchange as well as the full three-mile Quincy RR shortline that also has multiple lineside industries
- A handful of other lineside locations, such as at Crescent Mills.

The easiest solution with the sounds is to alias them to the VRC U30B.

Even simpler would be to swap out the DTG loco with the VRC

I don't own RWTools. Is there a method to swap all DTG U30Bs on a scenario with the VRC version at once on a single scenario?

Not to my knowledge. You really should consider RWTools its the swiss army knife for this simulator.

Many thanks for this information! Now I suppose I have to buy it. Donzel's article is, as usual, well written and informative.

It's actually fairly simple to do within the scenario editor. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=380001963 It might take a bit of time to replace everything, but I've done this a lot when I just want to swap out locos on the player train.

Route must be extended down to Williams Loop. I will look into it using only the Feather River Canyon Route Assets.

The gyrolight on the U30 did not appear to be functioning.
A few tunnels in part 1 or 2 had rock terrain over the portal and one in part 3 had a low hanging rock at the end.
The F7 clack clack track noise clack clack seems a bit louder clack clack clack and a lot more annoying clack clack than in the U30.
