H8, like in C&O Allegheny?

No, I don't think so, however desireable the prospect is.

I think the loco should fit an existing route, or come with its own route. And when was the last time that happened?

Past patterns would indicate something for an existing route. I could not see anything that gives a hint to what it could be. I love that some think it could be the Class J,or H-8. I would purchase either. I have said this before,an excursion engine like the N&W/NS "J"would be a good seller because it could be on a fan trip,on your route, not JUST current DLC. I lean toward it being a Pennsy loco. Time will tell.

There was that teaser posted a little way back of the hand cart, so maybe a "diamond stack" 4-4-0 gathering *!lol!* (although hardly Extreme !*roll-laugh*! )

No matter what, they are going to have had to work VERY hard to reach Mike's benchmark with the 800

!*cheers*!

I can tell you right now that they will not do anything close to what Mike did.

I'm placing my bets on the Milwaukee Road 261.

This may be a canadian steam loco but How about the Canadain Pacific Royal Hudson Excursion train, number 2860. It is no longer on the excursions anymore and is on display at the Railway Heritage Park in Sqamish B.C. Where it used to run excursions from North Vancouver to Squamish, through till the end of 2013 when the locomotive was due for costly extensive repairs which could never get funded. she now sits in the park for all to see. It would be nice to see this Canadian icon brought back to life in TS. And I believe in the 90's and 2000's it used to run the famed Royal Hudson train to Calgary, through the Rogers and Kicking horse pass stopping at Revelstoke, Lake Louise, and Banff along the way to Calgary.

This would be a stunning loco to drive in the simulator just like they used to back in its Royal Hudson trips.

Actually, The 2860 has a good boiler now. Its only the other stuff that needs to be fixed/replaced. She also doesn't sit in a park but rather a Roundhouse building. Once everything gets repaired (If it ever will) then it will be likely that it'll run trains again.

Thanks for the update, the roundhouse would no doubt be within the mentioned park. It would be nice to see her running Her excursions. Although I have never seen her in person, it would be a real treat to see her on one of them. Exactly why I'd like to see her come to life in train Simulator. You'd be able to run her on the Canadian mountain passes route, and maybe someone could created the famed excursion route itself.

Please can we get back on topic instead of talking about RW stuff. It belongs over in the Jungle.

Actually I was just mentioning the Royal Hudson as a possible cadidate for one the North American steam releases that could be released by DTG, just speculating here.
