indeed but am I the only who thinks that having the body overhang the bogeys by so much looks strange? btw i mean the design in general not RSC/DTGs model

I first noticed that in one of Amtrak's publicity photos. I suppose it's possible that they are trying to match the end overhang of the rolling stock these engines are intended to pull, the rationale having something to do with the dynamics of coupler swing. The only other thing that would occur to me - at least this early in the morning - is some concern for the effect of wreckage in grade crossing collisions, but these would be rare: AFAIK there are only two left between Boston and New Haven, while there are none between New Haven and Washington. I don't know how many there are between Philadelphia and Harrisburg at this point.

There are 11 left, all in Southern CT east of New Haven. There were three on the Harrisburg line, but are in the process of being eliminated if more than one isn't already gone.

Can I suggest you take this up with the creators. Pre-release rivet counting to show how much you know on here just leads to conflict and does nothing to make any creation more prototypical. Please direct these remarks to the makers.
