The latest update replaced the old Reading Six-Chime whistle with the authentic Lunkenheimer hooter (which is what you can actually see mounted on the steam dome of the locomotive). Nevertheless, there are some people who miss the sound of the 6-Chime, so I've made a little RWP that replaces the "Consolidation Audio Control Adv.proxybin" with a version using the old whistle sounds (which, fortunately, are still present in the AP file).

If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll send you the file.

Is there anyway to run the weathered version in "HUD"?

Thanks,

Galen

The FEF-3 upgrade is finished and is being processed by DTG, so it shouldn't be long.

I got the download a few minutes ago: http://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=24010

A simple way to do it is to open ConsolidationAssets.ap and extract these two folders:

RailVehicles/Steam/Consolidation/ATN Weathered/Engine/textures
RailVehicles/Steam/Consolidation/ATN Weathered/Tender/textures

then rename the extracted "ATN Weathered" folder to "ATN HUD". That way, the game will pick up the weathered textures, instead of the striped textures, when it loads the HUD version.

Hey Mike,

Could I have the reading 6 chime replacement for the 2-8-0 whistle?

With help from Christopher Hohman, I've made a mod for the Connie that replaces the sound of the Lunkenheimer hooter with that of a CNJ 3-Chime whistle.

http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/download-library/sounds-enhancements?view=document&id=2143:cnj-3-chime-whistle-for-at-n-consolidation&catid=25:sounds

The authentic sound for the Connie is the default Lunkenheimer (that's the hooter you can see mounted on the steam dome, alongside the safety valve), but this whistle sounds nice and some people might prefer it over the hooter.

AT&N Consolidation Class 280-157 Update Now Available on Steam

Unread postby mrennie » Fri Mar 24, 2017 9:24 am

The "sounds and particle effects" patch for the AT&N Consolidation is now applied to the Steam DLC. The automatic update is a 57.1MB download.

If you have already applied the patch that I uploaded to RailworksAmerica.com on March 5th, you can uninstall that, because it's the same as the patch that's now incorporated directly into the official ConsolidationAssets.AP file in the Assets folder.
