What route? Or is this all routes? You didn't say what the video card is in your new PC, this is a big factor, along with the CPU, RAM and hard drive speed.

To compare, my rig:
Phenom II 940 quad @ 3.2Ghz
4Gb 1066Mhz RAM
EVGA GTX470 Super Clocked video card
2x500Gb hard drives in RAID 0
Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I get frame rates all the way from 60 to less than 10. It's totally bonkers. I seem to get better frames on free third party routes than the routes I paid $$$ for!

Running RW with TSX on, graphics on high (both from the launch screen, and in game) HSC isn't bad, Donner is pretty good, GWML kills me.

*sigh* I meant WCML. not sure where I got GWML from. !*don-know!*

If you really want to know about the hardware in your computer, check out HWInfo. Get either the 32 bit or the 64 bit version, depending on what you have installed.

I looked up that HP model number, you have ATI onboard graphics. Not the best for Railworks because you can't allocate a lot of memory to the graphics. But, you can always add in a PCI-E graphics card for better performance.

For now, tho, you are just gonna have to experiment with different settings in RW. Keep in mind, there are settings in the launch screen, then in game as well. Use FRAPS to see your frame rates, don't use RW's frame counter.

I suggest a Ouija board. It would be about as definitive as anything we know about 2012. !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*!

Honestly, even those who have top of the line hardware are still having problems running RW3, the problem isn't the hardware, it's the TSX code. So, getting the best of the best so that you can run RW3 won't do you much good.

Your board has a PCI-E x16 slot, so any PCI-E card will fit. But, as Shortliner said, this may or may not make a big difference with RW. Like I've said before, if you are gonna upgrade, don't do it just for RW, do it for an overall boost in performance. With all those semi-legal disclaimers said, I think you will get a nice boost for RW with a new card. There are too many out there for me to just pick one. Some guys here like the new GT550Ti card, good price, good performance.

Now, with an HP PC, you need to go to their website and get instructions about how to upgrade the video. It's not too hard. But you have to do it their way, or "no way, Jose!" !*salute*!
