Problem with New Computer

Just finishing building a new computer. I have a little issue, not sure why it is happening? This is my second build, so certainly I am not an expert. When I powered up the unit, it boots up fine. I set the boot priority (or whatever its called) to optical drive, then SSD (which I do have installed). Saved, re-boot and get a message stating to install media and hit any key. When I install my New OEM Windows 7 Professional 64 bit disc, nothing seems to happen. It thinks for a minute, then I get the install media message again. Simply put, it doesn't seem to want to load. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Usually in the bios in the boot options it generally has the names of the drive ie Sata Drive Seagate whatever or DVD/CD rom drive whatever and you select one of those options. You did select from the bios boot options tab.

I know you have to put the Windows ISO disc in the DVD drive then reboot with the disc already in it.
So you need to put the disc in then restart.
You may have to restart into the bios and select boot DVD/CD or something like that with the disc already in the drive.
You may also have to select something that says UEFI after the DVD drive in the boot options/list, if you have UEFI bios.
I'm assuming you've checked your cables etc to make sure they're okay and plugged in.
After that you may have to google how to check discs in the command promt to see if the mobo is even recognizing all the drives and if they are in the right ports.
There is usually a recommended SATA port on the mobo for the (C:)/Drive 0 drive.
The rest of the devices like DVD can go anywhere.
This is assuming your (C:) drive isn't on a new M2 port on the motherboard.

Turned out to be having to leave the Windows Disc in the optical drive while re-booting (correct Eric). Thanks.
