Replacement Graphics Card

Unread postby BlueLight » Thu Aug 22, 2013 8:52 am

I believe that my GT-430 is about ready to give up the ghost. What card if any would be considered a suitable replacement?

GTX550Ti is a nice card, but if you can get a GTX560Ti it's one step higher. The GTX650Ti is also a great card, as Mr. Coffee said. Depends on what you can afford. !*salute*!

A GTX550ti will do the job, I know because I own one that I used to play with my trains, but a better value would be a newer version like the GTX650ti or even a used GTX560 or 560ti.

My opine is based on actually owning these cards. I used to recommend the GTX660s if a person could swing the extra money, but they are short on ROPs and the anti-aliasing suffers some because of it.
