Kaby Lake is supporting some new tech natively on the CPU.
You can build a great machine with Skylake, but why not go with the latest?
Skylake won't be supported well much longer, now that Kaby Lake is out.
Now that's some serious geek speak. Is this English?

Technoese
It boils down to support, like BIOS updates etc. From what I've been reading, Kaby Lake will run good on a Z170 chipset, but it is designed around the newer Z270 chipsets.
I have to admit though, the one advantage of going with Skylake, is it's a mature design now.
Whereas a person can expect some hiccups the first 6 months of Kaby Lake. Nothing major will go wrong, just some weirdness. Little things, like USB 3.1 ports, that might run at 3.0 speeds at first.
That's the kind of kinks a person might get with a new CPU coming out.
I've been itching to upgrade, but I think I'll sit on things awhile and see how Canon Lake i5s and the new Zen CPUs from AMD come out.
In case some didn't know, Kaby Lake just came out and is at places like Newegg.
