New old Problem

URGH! My Google Earth overlay just suddenly stopped working. For a multi gazillion dollar corporation and they can't find one person in their entire company to write instructions on how to trouble shoot or set up this cursed thing. Anyone else just started having a problem or is it just a issue here?
Just wasted a couple of hours today and so far nowhere.

Do you have blue spinning circles or will it not load at all? Have you tried to clear the cache?

Spinning circles. And yes cache cleared. And they are all kind of off in the distance.

Are the coordinates correct, credit card expired?

I've been having the same issues for about 14 months. I even signed up again but to no avail. It certainly makes route scenery a problem, I'm having to do screenshots, then printing.

Credit card is good. I have other subscriptions and they are working OK. I assume one card number works for everything Google. As far as co-ordinates I tried several different routes with the same results.

Maybe try clearing your API credentials out of TSC, clearing cache, closing, restarting, and re-entering them again. Have you made any recent changes to your computer's firewall or home router? Maybe try disabling your computer's security and then try Google overlays again. If you have another Google account, try creating a new API key and see if that works. Lastly, you can always submit a support ticket to DTG and see what they say. I'm sure you're not the first user to experience this issue.

On on anecdotal note, for about a week our Google Nest wasn't able to play Sirius XM. All other music platforms played without issue. Then, out of the blue it started working again.

I have Google Earth Pro and it works fine. I suppose they have nothing to do with each other.

The image database is probably the same, it's just means by which it is accessed is different. I tried my Google overlays on a route, and it's working fine. The last time it stopped working was when Google forced me to add credit card credentials to the account, then it started working again.

Since Google earth is still working, you can use those images on one screen and the route on the other screen. Then draw distance lines between known good location coordinates to triangulate an object's position. I have to do this with the Mason City Traction route as the tracks have become so far off from the Google overlays. While it may not match the overlays, at least track and objects have relative position to each other. But then again, I'm dealing with a mostly flat "Iowa" world, although it is anything but flat when viewed through a telephoto lens.

I finally puzzled my way through this jabberwocky which is a total nightmare on the Google pages and got it to work. Not sure what all I did. I now have four api keys three which don't work.
