Installation questions

With new content creators now adding new content to download outside RWA some are adding unusual file structures to the assets folders. Example Truerail Simulations adds their folders outside the usual locomotive name folders and has a tendency to reference to other asset folders such as DTG,Truerail Simulations and MLWAudio. Some also add child dependencies the same way. Is there an easy way to remember to enable all the dependencies in the editor to run these properly, or is it easier to enable these supplemental assets in the route editor for all routes that they could possibly used on?
Second question. Some files I have downloaded have the Assets folder in a .rwp format, can I unpack the .rwp and drop it in the Railworks folder or should I use the utilities to install, does it make a difference? I have tried it both ways and so far I cannot see any. !**conf**!

That is what I do. Long term is is less work and fewer problems. Plus, I do mainly quick drives and that is the only way some 3rd party stuff will work.

I unzip the rwp file and manually install everything. I haven't use the utilities.exe in years.

I unzip the .rwp using 7z, then copy and paste. The utilities works but is so cumbersome and slow.
