the speedsigns he has used were default so you should have them, but i did notice that there are no warning signs for speed changes so its best to bring up your main hud (F4) and look at the bottom for speed changes. you can also disable the auto emergency breaks in the in-game options menu.

I tried verify my cache back to default and just installed this route and same thing, no signs on the track or in the HUD..
Also, I think I am missing the signals :(
Thre should be something here, no?:

In reality trains on BC Rail and now former BC Rail lines part of CN trains are dispatched using Occupancy
Control System similar to Track Warrant Control in the US where a train is given a train order over the
radio to proceed from one place to another. Trains were dispatched from North Vancouver RTC since the
CN take over trains are now dispatched from Edmonton RTC.
Such a system of train orders is currently impossible to replicate in Train Simulator 2012 so to allow AI
traffic in scenarios signals are placed but are hidden from view below ground. Any upcoming signal
indication can be seen by pressing F3. All switches (points) on the route are manual as they are in reality so
it is important to check they are all in the correct position and important to return them to the normal
position.

Aha, interesting... but the speed signs?

There should be speed limit signs once north of Lillooet.
Apart from for the odd bridge and tight curve the first half of the route from Lillooet to Kelly Lake is around 20mph and from Kelly Lake northwards is around 40mph.

OK, Managed to find a speed sign, so they are OK.. but I disovered what was causing the braked to come on.. there seems to be a lot of track speed changes.
I marked them in blue with the limit below:

There do appear to be some small sections I did not set a speed limit for at the south end of Lillooet Yard why there bits of 55. I am not aware of such problems anywhere else on the route?
If I do another patch/update for the route I will see if I can address these issues.

Thanks.. I worked out how to manually edit the route to fix it for me anyway :)

After a bit of a hiatus have decided to try this route again, but now there is no F3/F4 how would you determine what the hidden signals are set to?

Welcome to TS2014. I think, actually, that the old style F3/ F4 HUD's disappeared with TS2013. Now all we have is the F4 HUD, you kinda have to learn your way around it. There is a kind of display window at the bottom that moves along with your train, it shows the track grade, and upcoming speed changes, stations, distance to next signal. But no way that I have figured to see what the next signal state is. And I presume it doesn't show hidden signals.
Some of the controls, levers, and functions on this new F4 HUD will also be different depending on whether you choose Expert or Simple controls. I do miss the old F3 HUD, I used it a lot. Just have to try and get used to this new style HUD. The F5 HUD is still around, tho. I tend to switch between it and F4, especially using manual fireman on a steam loco.

If the signals are hidden, you don't need to worry about them, as they would not exist for a real engineer. Such signals are mainly used to control AI trains. Just man the switches and ignore any mention of SPADs in your final evaluation.
For regular (visible) signals:
You would normally don't need to see the state of the next one, because you can infer it from the last one. If you see a green signal, you know the next one is not red. If the current one is yellow, slow down to 30 because the next one could be yellow or red.
If you still want to know (and I often do because I don't know all routes by heart, like a real engineer would), you should see it on the 2D map.
